Our History

REGENT gifts was formed in Nov 2004 from the combination of Regent Gifts and Cased Crystal.

Regent Gifts

Run by David and Gloria Born for over 15 years, Regent Gifts was a gift shop in Quadrant Arcade on Regent Street.

Regent Gifts was one of the first stores to sell the Charlotte de Vita china teapots made by German manufacturer Goebel. Its full product range included Golliwog dolls, Oxford t-shirts and teddies.

Cased Crystal

Cased Crystal was founded in March 2002 offering coloured and clear crystal and glassware.

We started from humble beginnings selling from a market stall in the well known Jubilee Market hall in Covent Garden. Here we became know for the distinctive grape pattern wine glasses made by Hungarian manufacturer Ajka Crystal.

In 2003 and 2004, as the company grew, we transitioned from the market stall to a concession within the General Store, a department store on the West side of the Covent Garden piazza. Our product range expanded to include quality 30% lead crystal figurines by Bohemian manufacturer Preciosa and Egyptian manufacturer ASFOUR.
